Brought Kayden for his eye checkup with the Eye specialist @ KKH... I have to say the Eye centre today is super duper crowded & the waiting time is long too... His appointment was @ 3.30pm & we waited for almost an hour to see the doctor...

Once we're inside the consultation room, the doctor checked on Kayden's right eye & said it's back to normal (ie: no more yellowish discharge)... He wanted to examine Kayden's right eye, but Kayden don't want to open means don't want to open... He kept crying & crying so I have to kind of coax him to open by giving him his milk milk, but still not successful... So what the doctor did was to use a kind of equipment to open up Kayden's eye so that he can do a more detailed check... That equipment is like a wire thingy & it looked so scary when I saw him using that to open Kayden's eye... And as usual, Kayden was crying his lungs out... I see & hear till my heart pain...

After all these were done, the doctor told me that the eye ointment that I've been applying for Kayden can stop after one more week... I was sooooooooo happy cuz there will be no more medications for Kayden... Yuppie!!!

Kayden gonna be 1 month old in another weeks' time... And my confinement will be OVER soon... Yuppie!!!! I can't wait to bring Kayden out!!!

These few days been busy taking care of my precious Kayden day & night... Been lacking of sleep & can only nap when he sleep... He started to be cranky by making lotsa noise when drinking milk...

Yuppie!! My confinement gonna be over real soon & Kayden's baby shower on the 8th April... I can't wait to end my confinement, cuz I wanna PERM my hair... Been sick of having straight hair for such a long time... Think will go for a perm @ AMK Hub next Sat, so I can be nice nice on the 8th April... Haha... Gonna let my Kayden wear nice nice on that day... Hope to see all my friends then...

14th March 2007

After giving birth to Kayden via c-sect, the doctor finally discharged me but not for lil' Kayden... He was diagnosed with jaundice on the 2nd day after birth & was under photo-therapy since then... His jaundice was very high standing @ 283 in the morning but went down to 233 in the evening... But still not under the normal range... So I have to discharged without my Kayden... You know how SAD I was when I kissed him goodbye @ the nursery??? I was crying even when I'm back home... =(

p/s: oh ya, the doctor on duty during my stay in KKH look soooooo alike like the taiwanese group, Fei Lun Hai's that Wuzhun!!! He's driving a BMW convertible... But but but, tooo bad, he's married... lol...

Finally I can understand why some mummies complained about the pain when engorgement came... It was sooooo painful like hell that I feel like crying... When I had engorgement, my breasts were stiff like 'stones' & when gently touched the engorged area, it's very pain... I tried pumping out the breast milk & store it in the fridge for Kayden to consume... The pumping part is the worse... I pumped till both my breasts were so sore & heavy & I can't imagine I pumped for hours & the engorgement still won't go away... And I was crying badly & I wanted to stop breast feeding Kayden... =( After seeking advice from my friend, she advised me to go see a doctor rather than continue pumping... So I called up to the nursery where Kayden was having the photo-therapy @ KKH whether I can drop by & see him & also seek help from them & the answer was YES!! So got hubby drove me down to KKH & the nurses there guide me along about expressing breast milk (BM) out when engorged... Managed to pumped out almost 50-60 ml of BM & fed Kayden!!!

Yuppie!! That's my 1st time carrying Kayden & feeding him milk... @_@ But seeing him under the photo-therapy, I was soooooo heart pain... =(



16th March 2007

Called KKH in the morning to check whether Kayden's jaundice level went down & can he be discharged... They told me his jaundice level went down below 220 (the normal range) & he's allowed to discharge... I was soooooooooooooo happy & told hubby about that... Went down to KKH @ 2+pm & waited for alomost coming to 1 hour then they discharged Kayden... But he had to be on medication for his lacking of calcium that made his hands & legs to jitter... Was given an appointment to polyclinic tomorrow to monitor his jaundice level... Noticed Kayden's right eye got alot of thick yellowish discharge, will ask the doctor tomorrow...



17th March 2007

Brought Kayden to Bedok polyclinic for his jaundice lebel checked... The waiting hours was fairly fast for infants... Got hubby to carry Kayden for the blood test for jaundice cuz I'll freaked out & heart pain to see needles poking into his little feet... Waited for 10 mins for the result & went back to the doctor... Kayden's jaundice level went slightly higher standing @ 229... Told doctor about the yellowish discharge on Kayden's right eye & he said it's like an minor infection & wrote a referral letter to KKH for appointment tomorrow with regards to his eye & jaundice level...

p/s: Kayden made a mess with his urine in the doctor's consultation room when the doctor remove his pampers to check on his poo poo... LOL!!! Naughty Kayden... @_@



18th March 2007

Brought Kayden to KKH for his appointment @ the Children's 24 hrs A & E... The
waiting time was fairly ok & I happened to see one of the mummies from the same ward as me... When it's Kayden's turn to see doctor, we were told to bring him for the blood test for jaundice & have to wait for an hour for the result to be out... When the nurses took Kayden for the test, I heard him crying his lungs out for very long... My heart was sooooooooooo pain that I even covered my ears with my hands... After the result's out, was glad that his jaundice level went down... =) The doctor examined Kayden's right eye & sent for an Eye specialist to look into Kayden's case... After the Eye specialist examined Kayden, he said that need to admit Kayden to be place under observation... Upon hearing that, I was ok @ 1st... But when registering for Kayden, I cried... To me, I just brought him home for barely 2 days & now he had to admit again, my heart sudden dropped & hurt very badly...

While waiting for the ward to be ready, I cried & cried & cried... Even on the way up to the ward, I just couldn't stop crying... Hubby also heart pain when he saw me crying like that... Even the ward nurse also ask my hubby to console me... After all the admission was done, hubby called my in-laws & told them about the situation... They came shortly to kind of take over while hubby & I went home to freshen up... I just couldn't stop crying till I reached home... As I'm still doing my confinement, hubby went to take care of Kayden in the hospital @ night... I'd cried till my both eyes very swollen & tired, I told hubby to kiss goodnight Kayden on my behalf & take good care of him, then headed to bed... (x_x)

In-laws sent me down to KKH to visit Kayden as they knew even I stayed home, I also will cry... So spent most of my time carrying Kayden as I missed him soooooooooo much... The doctor said Kayden's condition was improving & was asked to stay another day for observation before they discharged him... The nurse there also asked how come I can come out during my confinement where I'm supposed to be resting @ home... How can I fang xin when Kayden's in hospital?? So have to wait for another day before Kayden can come home... =(



20th March 2007

Yuppie!!!! Kayden coming home today!!! Was @ KKH in the morning & had breakfast with hubby... Kayden just returned from the Eye clinic & his infection is getting better... While waiting for all his discharge paper procedures to be done, hubby & I went for lunch... Kayden was being prescribed 2 different kinds of eye drops... The doctor told me that the infection could be caused during birth & they're still waiting for the test results to be out... Was given an appointment to come back on 22 Mar to see the Eye specialist, the PD regarding about his jitterness...

p/s: 1st time cutting Kayden's tiny lil' fingernails... =)

Brought Kayden for his appointment @ KKH... Went to register with the Eye clinic then to the PD to have his weight & height taken... I was surprised that he gained 0.45kg & grown 3.6cm in height in just 1 week & 4 days... His current weight is 3.66kg & standing @ 51.6cm in height... While @ the eye clinic, the doctor took a tiny lil' 'hook' like instrument to open up Kayden's eyes to examine his condition... The moment the doctor used that (it was scary one lor), Kayden was crying & puked a lil' of his milk out... The doctor told me his infection was caused by my white discharge... He was saying that my white discharge contains a kind of bacteria that will cause blindness to newborn thru the birth canal if not getting any treatment fast... I was like: "OMFG!!! What have I done to my lil' one??? I'm such a bad mummy!!! =(

The doctor gave me a referral letter to get myself checked on my white discharge & Kayden was given an eye ointment & antibiotic... My poor baby, sooooooo small have to go thru all this... Mummy is very very sorry to have caused you the infection... You must recover fast ya...

Hubby & me slept around 3+am after watching some tv programs... Then while I'm tossing on bed cuz of having difficulties in sleeping, I heard a loud 'pop' sound... I was still wondering what's that sound & before I realised what's happening, I felt warm water gushing out & my whole pad is soaked... And from that moment, I finally realised that my waterbag had burst by itself!!! When I looked @ the time, it's 4.30am... So I hurried to the toilet to check & more water gushing out again... So I quickly went for a shower & wake hubby up from his beauty sleep to send me to KKH... Hubby was like blur blur & asked am I sure or not, cuz we never anticipated that Kayden will arrive soooo fast... On our way there, more & more water gushing out... Admitted @ 5+am & they wheeled me into the labour ward straight away...

The doctor in charge came in & checked that I've dilated 3cm... She put me on drip to increase my contractions as mine still very irregular... I felt nothing about the contraction pain and still can joked around with my hubby... Every half an hour the nurse in charge will come in to check on my contractions interval... I was 5 cm dilated when they checked on me @ 8.15am, hmmm... seems the rate that I'm dilating is so slow even with the help of the medicine, so the nurse increased the dosage... I asked for epidural @ 10am cuz the contractions is hurting my ribs very bad & the laughing gas is not helping @ all & hubby also asked me to take cuz when he see me like that in pain, he also very heart pain... When they checked on me again @ 11+am, I was already 6-8cm dilated, with the help of the epidural...

Started pushing when I'm fully dilated @ 2pm... Initially I never feel anything of the contractions pain cuz with the help of epidural, so when the doctor saw that I'm not pushing @ all, she reduced the epi dosage & that's when I really felt the contractions for the 1st time... I've pushed & pushed & pushed, only managed to see abit of Kayden's head... After having pushed for 1 hour +, I really have no more strength to push & Kayden's head still not halfway there... Then the doctor off the epidural totally & I was like WTF!!! The pain is really killing me & how dare the doctor off the epi!!! I was 'screaming' & 'scolding' the doctor or whoever is there & I even ordered them to DO what I want them to DO... Haha!!! Even my hubby was surprised!!! When I pushed for almost 2 hours, I TOLD the doctor that I want the help of forceps tp get Kayden out as he was still stuck @ the birth canal... Then the dotor said alot of craps about what's the side effects of using that & if failed, then I had to have emergency c-section... At that point of time, I wasn't listening to the doctors @ all cuz the pain was already killing me, where got time to listen to their craps... lol... The senior doctor came in & said to go for the c-section immediately as my Kayden's head had been stuck there for very long... So I was wheeled to the Operating theatre @ 4pm & @ 4.15pm, Kayden finally touched down... *Phew*

Woke up pretty early yesterday @ 6.30am... Also don't know why woke up so early... Still having difficulties in sleeping... Wondering when my lil' one wanna come out... Haiz... Been having dreams of Kayden being borned already... (o.O)

Had breakfast with hubby @ 9+am & slacked for a while before hubby sent me to meet up with Peggy & her son, Kenneth for lunchie @ Swensens, Park Hotel... It's been a long long time since I last saw Peggy... Think our last met up was during secondary school days, which was 10+ years ago... Lol... We resumed contact since last year thru' the same forum that I visited, IdoBaby... Kenneth's a very cheeky boy as what Peggy said & I totally agreed... I had a great time laughing, all thanks to her son to keep me entertained... Hehe...

After lunchie @ Swensens, we went over to Takashimaya as there's a baby fair going on till 25th Mar... All thanks to a forumie that had posted this thread in Idobaby... If not, I also wouldn't know about it... I would say there's quite a huge variety of baby stuffs that's on sale & worth buying... You can find all the baby stuffs & Mummies stuffs there... Although I got most of Kayden's stuffs ready, but when I'm there @ the baby fair, I still can't control myself but to buy more & more stuffs for him... Hehe... And while me & Peggy were looking around, we saw Charmaine @ the fair (she's 'eating' snake during lunch time)... Charmaine said Peggy looked different in real person compared to the pic in Ido, that she can't really recognised Peggy... Haha.. We chatted a while with Charmaine & continued to grab more stuffs...

Ended up, after having browsing & choosing, I had 2 big shopping bags @ the end of the day... I bought in total 6 boxes of Pigeon disposable breast pads (after discount $8 each), 3 packets of cotton wool balls (3 for $5), 1 set of Winnie the Pooh pillow & bolster (2 for $10), 1 set of Mickey Mouse mittens & bootties (after discount $4.72), 1 set of top & bottom for Kayden ($3.30 each), and a few more that I can't remember liao... So total damage for the day = $103.00...

After shopped for a while in Takashimaya, Peggy & me left for MRT station... Anyway, thanks Peggy for the bedding set & the Mickey Mouse's receiving blanket for Kayden...

I got hubby to pick me up @ Aljunied MRT station as I was carrying 2 big bags of my shopping loots from Takashimaya... I ganna nagged by hubby that my tummy so big le still wanna go Orchard & carried so many stuffs (shooping loots)... He kinda 'banned' me from going Orchard cuz I'll be due anytime soon... =(

Supposed to meet Zhuzhu & Nadia today @ Orchard, but cuz of hubby 'banning' me from going Orchard, I'm really sorry to have to cancel the outing with them... It's actually my 1st time meeting them & I really look forward to it, but too bad... =( Guess have to arrange again with them... =(

p/s: I don't care, I will still go Orchard these few days... W/o my hubby's knowledge of cuz... hehe...

Woke up @ 1pm to prepare myself for the routine checkup later @ 2.40pm... Can't really sleep well these few days...

Hubby was sooooo nice to buy my favorite food for breakfast this morning... Love you dear, muackz... Reached KKH @ 2.30pm & go for my routine urine test, blood pressure & weight... Didn't gain any weight for the past 2 weeks, so my weight now is still standing @ 62.3kg... Hmm, does that mean I won't be gaining any more weight till I deliver??

Now I'm into my 37th week... I asked the doctor why do I feel pain @ my pubic bone when I tossed around in bed @ night and she said it's because Kayden's head is putting pressure there... And the doctor also commented that my gestational diabetes is under control... I also asked is there any scanning of my baby Kayden as I'm really anxious to know how heavy is my Kayden now & also I really missed seeing him since my last scan in 29th week... She said next week there will be a scanning on the estimated fetal weight & also my waterbag level... Cuz now my appointment is once every week... And the doctor said that I might be giving birth on the 23rd Mar... She said it's either 1 week before my actual EDD or 1 week later... Hmm... (o.O)

So I'll be seeing Kayden next wednesday... YUPPIE!!!! Hubby & me gonna see baby Kayden next week!!! Hubby & me REALLY missed seeing Kayden... =) Now the only thing that I can do is to count down to lil' Kayden's arrival, which is in another 2 weeks time...

Hopefully lil' Kayden won't be so comfortable in my tummy till he doesn't wanna come out... Wahkakaka... =)

YUPPIE!!! FINALLY get to play MAHJONG today, after craving for it for more than 1 month...

Just came back from mahjong @ Angie's place... Reached Angie's place around 2.30pm, supposed to meet @ 2pm... hehe... They already set up the mahjong table before I reached there... We started playing @ 2.45pm... We played very small only, 20 - 40 cents only... Can you imagine our 1st round of mahjong lasted for almost 4 hours... OMG!!! Cuz normally they only played 10 - 20 cents, which to me, is time-consuming & most importantly, waste of energy... So they gave in to me & agreed on 20 - 40 cents... Hehe... =P Anyway, while we playing the 1st round, more & more of her friends came along & soon another mahjong table was being set up...

After our 1st round of 4 hours, we decided to play another round and the stakes remain the same... Although I'm kinda bored of playing the 1st round for almost 4 hours, I continue to play the 2nd round, cuz I'm craving for mahjong ma... So I played for the sake of fulfiling my craves lor... And as usual, our 2nd round also lasted for almost 4 hours or more... Haiz... And more & more of her friends came again & another 2 mahjong tables were being set up... So imagine how many people came today... After our 2nd round, we had steamboat for dinner... Feeling sooooooo FULL after having steamboat...

Then we played our 3rd round of mahjong... Surprisingly, our 3rd round seems to end very fast... We started playing around 10.45 - 11 pm and ended our last game around 12.45am... Maybe cuz we reduced our stakes from 20 - 40 cents to 10 - 20 cents nia, so that's why they don't really have to think very long on which tile to discard... Lol... o.O

And all these while when I'm playing, lil' Kayden was being very naughty... He tends to move alot & his movements somehow very rough, I had to keeping massaging my tummy... Hmm... *Kayden today very naughty boy*

To sum up, total damage after 3 rounds of mahjong: $ 23.00 (All thanks to those who KEEP gaming 4 tais & 5 tais & + zi mo!! ARGHHHHHHH!!!!)

Recently like alot of my forumies had given birth to their little ones liao... Just these few days, 3 of them already gave birth to their little healthy princes... I'm sooooooooo happy for them...

Now I'm counting down to my precious lil' Kayden's arrival... Counting down 24 days to his 1st peek into this world... These few days my tummy is like hardens so frequently... And lately I also experienced pain around my pubic bone @ night, wondering is it Kayden's head pressing that area... I asked one of my forumies Cyn and she told me it's Kayden's head giving the pressure that's why I feel the pain when I'm tossing left to right on the bed @ night...

Baby Kayden, Mummy is soooooo anxious to see you yet Mummy also very scared of going thru' the whole labour procedure... So you must REALLY be a good boy & pray hard that Mummy will have a smooth delivery to bring you to this world, although Mummy knows you've been a very good boy all this while for not giving mummy any problems carrying you till now...

Daddy also very anxious to see you!!! Love you lots, baby Kayden!!!
